when the fog clears

My father decided to take us on a little Sunday excursion after Church, and I thought this was a pretty little scene. Very country, but very beautiful, I think. Ayron said it looks like a painting...I think that's because of the heavy snow and the fog that still hasn't cleared completely behind the trees. I've posted a lot of outdoor photos this week, but it has been unusually beautiful outside.

that georgia sun
Pomegranates are fast becoming one of my favorite fruits. They're so tasty, and who doesn't love all of those antioxidants? Combined with one of my new red bowls (thanks Mom), I thought they'd make a lovely photo. Red is an interesting color; it represents so many things: love & passion, guilt & sin, courage & heroism, and warning. It has always been one of the colors I'm most attracted to.

peter pan had it right

One of the best parts of being home is being able to spend time with my wonderful niece, Allison. I never could have imagined the joy and light that erupts in my heart when she does something as simple as smiling.

"When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. "

blank
On this gorgeous winter day, I have that glorious feeling that the world is my blank canvas, and I am capable of putting on it whatever I'd like.

every living spark
I long for the stillness of this moment that I captured on a quiet Sunday morning. Perfect frost covered all of the trees, and it makes me feel very happy, just looking at it. Today was a beautiful day, spent with wonderful family and great food. Merry Christmas to all! I hope that your day has been beautiful.
